一部改编自布兰妮成长经验的影集“Brave New Girl”

美国ABC电视网前一阵子计划将布兰妮（Britney Spears）与她妈妈合写的书“A Mother''s Gift”改编成电视影集，虽然电视公司在改编时为了戏剧效果而将原本的内容做了些许修改，并且将重点放在剧中代表布兰妮的女主角Holly与她母亲之间的关系上面，而没有强调女主角的成名过程，但是由于原著作者是布兰妮与她母亲，因此布兰妮和她的母亲还是全程参与了这部影集的制作过程，连选角也是由布兰妮和母亲一一面试所有演员才做出最后的决定。结果获得布兰妮青睐的女主角也和音乐界有些渊源，因为她正是空中补给合唱团（Air Supply）的吉他手Jimmy Haun的千金Lindsey Haun。
这部影集中的女主角Holly和布兰妮一样，从小就立志要成为能歌善舞的歌手，因此她参加了许多大大小小的才艺竞赛，支持她的母亲也让她进入表演艺术学校学习更多表演技巧，最后她的梦想得以成真，真的成了一位名歌手。

我爱的是女助教（地下摇滚乐队女主唱）唱的那只歌，《Am I The Only One》。空荡的舞台，简洁有力的钢琴伴奏下震撼人心。

在酒吧里和女孩儿愈渐放开的合唱更是激荡。

其实我挺不明白为什么这部影片的中文名叫《勇踏星途》，呵呵 明明是一个女孩儿去古板的音乐学院学习嘛。最后演唱会上改编的卡门是很不错，但也不至于到全场正回味着古典音乐的人们都欢呼的地步吧结尾太仓促圆满了 呵呵。
